FLYING MONKEY - LINE DRAWING DOODLE
ARTIST BIO
“When I thought of a monkey flying the main thing was that he would be having fun, he’s doing it Superman style but he has a little smile on his face, like he’s trying to be serious but he’s loving being up there.

The smoothness and the quickness of the Artline pens helped me keep the movement in the drawing, the hairs going in the same direction was really important to make it look like he’s flying.
I draw most of my work with Artliners. I sometimes get funny looks at life drawing when I go there with felt tips, most people have charcoal, pastels or pencils. I have played around with a bunch of differentmediums but I always end up using Artliners. The smooth flow of the pens and putting down something finished straight away is something that I’ve always loved. There is no smudging orrubbing out, what you put down is what you get. I believe over thinking the line or drawing over the top of pencil can make the line lose its power and start to look self-doubting.
I think there is something nice about your first line being your finished line.”
